Dharamshala, Feb. 13 -- Education Minister Rohit Thakur expressed deep sorrow over the murder of mid-day meal worker Saloncha Devi at the primary school in Chanaur Gram Panchayat, Dehra.
Calling the incident extremely unfortunate, he said that schools should be the safest places for children, teachers, and staff.
The Education Minister said that the accused in this case has been arrested, and strict and necessary action will be taken as per the law.
He directed the Education Department to immediately review and strengthen security arrangements in all state schools to ensure the safety of students, teachers, mid-day meal workers, and all supporting staff, and to prevent such incidents in the future.
