Mumbai, Jan. 15 -- Confusion over polling centre allocation delayed voting by Maharashtra Forest Minister Ganesh Naik and his family for nearly an hour on Thursday morning during the civic polls in Navi Mumbai, raising questions on the whole election management by the election commission.
The issue arose shortly after polling began at 7.30 AM, when Ganesh Naik and his family reached their designated polling centre but were unable to find their names on the voters' list. They subsequently went to another polling station, where their names were again missing, leading to repeated movement between polling locations.
