Patna, April 1 -- Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Wednesday said that mines and geology department has raked in Rs 3,592.60 Cr in last fiscal which was Rs 56.39 Cr. more than what it achieved in financial year 2024-25.
While talking to news persons here, Sinha, who also holds Mines and Geology portfolio, exuded confidence that department will achieve its revenue collection target of Rs 3800 Cr. set for 2025-26 fiscal.
Sinha said that the revenue collection has been commendable despite the government surrendering 78 sand ghats that collectively contributed close to Rs 600 Cr. to the exchequer.
