Shimla, Nov. 28 -- Good news for consumers in Himachal Pradesh as the State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (Milkfed) has announced a reduction in milk prices. At a time when rising inflation has tightened household budgets, this move is expected to ease financial pressure on families across the state.

Milkfed has lowered the prices of both loose and packaged milk by Rs. 3 to Rs. 4 per litre. Under the revised rates, loose cow milk sold through Milkfed's milk bar units will now be available at Rs. 51 per litre, down from Rs. 55.
