Chennai, Nov. 18 -- The Unit Approval Committee (UAC) of MEPZ Special Economic Zone (SEZ), has approved eight new SEZ units, unlocking over Rs 158 crores in investments across the Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Puducherry (TAP) Region.
The approvals are set to create more than 2,700 jobs, marking a major push to strengthen the region's industrial competitiveness.
The newly approved investments span critical sectors including renewable energy, IT/ITES, engineering, and advanced manufacturing.
The UAC was chaired by Alex Paul Menon, Development Commissioner, MEPZ SEZ.
