Shillong, Jan. 28 -- Meghalaya will showcase the State's premium spices at the first-ever Meghalaya Spice Festival at the Jio World Drive, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, from January 30 to February 1, an official said on Wednesday.
The festival aims at showcasing the state's premium spices, strengthening market access and export linkages for farmers, boosting rural enterprises, and establishing Meghalaya as a leading "spice destination."The festival will connect FPOs, SHGs, cooperatives, and MSMEs from Meghalaya with buyers, exporters, retail chains, HoReCa players, nutraceutical brands, and institutional buyers. Officials said the event will position Meghalaya as a key source of high-quality, traceable, and sustainably produced spices.
