Shillong, April 8 -- Meghalaya Assembly Speaker Thomas Ampang Sangma on Wednesday conducted a high-level inspection of the nearly completed assembly building at New Shillong Township, Mawdiangdiang.
During the site visit, Sangma expressed "satisfaction" with the steady progress, noting that the construction is moving smoothly in accordance with established timelines.
The inspection focused on several critical components of the site, including the main hall's structural work and the integration of essential utilities.
The Speaker was accompanied by Assembly Secretary Malthus S Sangma, Deputy Secretary Raja Kharpuri, Advisor (Legislation) Dr. Andrew Simons along with senior officers and engineers from the Public Works Department (PWD).
