Shillong, March 27 -- Twelve Bangladeshi nationals, including a kingpin of human trafficking, were nabbed by Meghalaya Police in coordination with Assam Police, police said on Thursday.
Based on a specific intelligence input about an organised gang of human traffickers ferrying these Bangladeshi nationals in a train from Mumbai to Guwahati, Meghalaya police from Ri-Bhoi district swung into action on Wednesday.
Meghalaya police also received specific information that Sukur Janab Shaikh, kingpin of human trafficking of Bangladeshi nationals, was escorting these illegal migrants in the train.
