Shillong, Feb. 4 -- The State Cancer Society of Meghalaya on Wednesday launched a series of major initiatives to further strengthening cancer prevention and control in the state.
The Human papillomavirus (HPV) testing programme, a dedicated Cancer screening App and devices for field implementation of the Meghalaya Mission for Cancer prevention and early detection were launched by Health and Family Welfare Minister, Wailadmiki Shylla at the 2nd Meghalaya Cancer conclave here.
He further inaugurated a collaborative project between the Government of Meghalaya and the Grace Cancer Foundation, Hyderabad, Telangana, focused on cancer control in West Khasi Hills district.
