Williamnagar, Dec. 12 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday announced that the story of the legendary freedom fighter, Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma, will be scripted for plays and dramas to be used in schools and colleges.
"This initiative aims to encourage the younger generation to connect with the stories of their forefathers," the Chief Minister said, following the laying wreath ceremony observing the 153rd death anniversary of Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma at Togan Park, Chisobibra village near Williamnagar, the district headquarters of East Garo Hills.
The solemn programme paid tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and immortal legacy of the revered Garo freedom fighter whose life continues to inspire generations.
