New Delhi, Feb. 23 -- The Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Monday approved several key proposals related to civic amenities and public welfare, while directing officials to ensure time-bound implementation of budget announcements for 2026-27.

The meeting, chaired by Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma, held detailed discussions on sanitation management, the issue of stray animals, maintenance of parks, the condition of public toilets, pollution control measures, and optimal use of community centres.

Officials were instructed to take concrete, result-oriented action on suggestions put forward by councillors and to ensure strict compliance within specified timelines.
