New Delhi, Nov. 8 -- Delhi Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh on Friday dismissed the Aam Aadmi Party's allegations about the Bhalswa landfill site as "completely false, misleading, and politically motivated."Speaking to media, the Mayor said the claims were aimed at misleading Delhi residents and grabbing headlines rather than addressing genuine concerns.
Singh said all operations at the Bhalswa landfill are being conducted in full compliance with directions from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and the Ministry of Environment, using scientific methods.
"There is no question of dumping waste in residential areas," he emphasised, adding that the MCD has no connection with any illegal waste disposal.
