Lucknow, Jan. 26 -- On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati extended greetings to citizens of India and Indians living across the world, while urging governments to conduct an honest assessment of the country's progress under the Constitution.
In a statement posted on X on Monday, Mayawati said that merely taking pride in the Constitution is not enough unless the Centre and state governments seriously evaluate whether their claims and promises have translated into real political, social, and economic democracy for the people.
