Lucknow, Feb. 6 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Friday strongly condemned what she termed the increasing disrespect and humiliation of the Pandit (Brahmin) community, alleging that they are being portrayed as "infiltrators" not only in Uttar Pradesh but now even through cinema.
In a statement posted on X, Mayawati said that such portrayals have triggered widespread anger and resentment among Brahmins across the country. Asserting that the BSP stands firmly against any insult to Pandits, she described the controversial film 'Ghuskhor Pandit' as "casteist" and demanded that the Central government impose an immediate ban on it, warning that such content is harmful to social harmony.
