Lucknow, Oct. 25 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has convened a special meeting of BAMCEF (Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation) on November 1, focusing on organizational strategy and increasing participation of the backward classes.
Sources said the meeting will deliberate on reactivating the BAMCEF cadre and reinforcing the party's organizational framework. Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BSP had also attempted the BAMCEF revival, but the efforts did not yield any result. Now, with an eye on the state polls due in 2027, Mayawati aims to make BAMCEF a key vehicle for expanding the party's grassroots base.
