Ranchi, March 16 -- Jharkhand Health Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh on Monday warned that nursing colleges violating prescribed norms would face maximum penalties.
Chairing a meeting of the execution committee of the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Singh reviewed applications from 61 nursing colleges seeking No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
He directed officials to convene a council meeting within 15 days and said NOCs would be granted only after government approval and verification of eligibility.
During the meeting, Singh reviewed infrastructure details of the institutions and sought information on land ownership, building facilities, number of rooms and operational status.
