Mass Drug administration to be held on February 10 to eliminate filariasis in Ranchi district

Ranchi, Jan. 15 -- Mass Drug Administration (MDA) under the National Lymphatic Filariasis Elimination Programme will be conducted in Ranchi district on February 10, to eliminate filariasis (elephantiasis).

The programme will be organised through 619 booths across four blocks Rahe, Tamar, Sonahatu and Kanke with extended door-to-door coverage up to February 25, to ensure complete drug administration.

An online meeting of the MDA District Coordination Committee was held on January 15, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, from his office chamber at the Collectorate.
