Mass Drug Administration programme to be held at 619 booths in Ranchi on Feb 10

Ranchi, Feb. 8 -- The District Administration, Ranchi, has announced that the Mass Drug Administration (MDA) programme under the National Lymphatic Filariasis Elimination initiative will be conducted on February 10, at 619 booths across the district. The programme aims to make Ranchi completely free from filariasis (elephantiasis).

Issuing an appeal, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri urged all residents, particularly those in Rahe, Sonahatu, Tamar and Kanke blocks, to actively participate in the campaign. He said filariasis is a preventable disease and can be eliminated permanently with collective public cooperation.
