Imphal, March 12 -- Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand informed the state Assembly on Thursday that 21 Naga villagers kidnapped yesterday were released today, safe and sound. He said two other persons, however, were found dead.

Khemchand further said Central and state agencies worked together to rescue the kidnapped persons. He appealed to all to maintain peace and stop fighting against each others. The matter of kidnapping will be handed over to the NIA, he added.
