Imphal, Feb. 3 -- Security forces and Manipur Police carried out a series of coordinated operations across different districts of the state, leading to the recovery of arms and explosives, arrests of militant elements, and seizure of drugs and illicit liquor on Monday, police confirmed on Tuesday.
Security forces recovered a large cache of arms and explosive materials from the general area of Bongmol and SL Zougam under Tengnoupal Police Station in Tengnoupal district. The recovered items included one AK-47 rifle with a magazine, two pistols, two single-barreled rifles, 11 live rounds of ammunition, seven empty cases, three radio sets, two pairs of combat dress pants, two pairs of shoes, IED wires, and 18 improvised explosive devices (IEDs...
