Imphal, Aug. 5 -- Manipur police continue its drive to curb offences related to motor vehicles. The state police yesterday arrested two vehicle lifters from Lilong Dam, near Anjuman Office, Lilong PS, Thoubal district, in connection with an FIR registered earlier related to a theft from Lilong Kaleikhong.
The arrested vehicle lifters were identified as Md. Mufasin of Lilong Makha Leikai, Thoubal district, and Md. Aman of Lilong Lou Tara, Thoubal district.
The stolen two-wheeler Royal was also recovered from the duo. Police said today that intelligence-based combing operations and cordon and search operations are being carried out extensively to nab those involved in extortion and criminal activities in the state.
