Imphal, Feb. 9 -- Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand discussed the situation at Litan, Ukhrul district where clashes have occurred between Kukis and Nagas.
Ukhrul is dominated by Tangkhul (Naga) and Litan is a village dominated by Kuki, strategically located on the Imphal to Ukhrul road.
Due to the crisis most of the people at Ukhrul could not use the road hence emergency helicopter services were pressed into service. About 24 houses have been completely gutted by fire, mostly belonging to the Tangkhul, hence security has been tightened in the area.
