Lucknow, March 30 -- In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his younger brother by repeatedly attacking him with an iron rod late Sunday night.
The incident took place in Khandedev village under the Banthra police station area, police said on Monday.
According to reports, the accused, identified as Shravan, had an argument with his younger brother Alok Gautam alias Golu (24) while both were under the influence of alcohol.
The dispute escalated, and later in the night, Shravan attacked Golu while he was asleep. He continued striking him with an iron rod until he died.
Police reached the scene after receiving information and conducted an initial investigation. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
