Jhansi, April 9 -- A double murder case has been uncovered in Jhansi district.
A 40-year-old man, Chaturbhuj Patel alias Rajeev, allegedly killed his lover Neelu (35) and her three-year-old son Krishna, police said on Thursday.
According to police, Chaturbhuj attacked Neelu with an axe following a dispute and later crushed her face with a stone to hide her identity on Wednesday.
He also murdered her young son and hid the child's body in a heap of hay in a nearby field. To destroy evidence, he later set the haystack on fire.
Chaturbhuj had a troubled personal life. After the death of his first wife, his second wife left him.
