Nanded, March 21 -- A man was killed after his two-wheeler caught fire near the Eidgah in Nanded, Maharashtra, on Saturday prompting a detailed investigation by the police amid reports of explosion-like sounds during the incident.
The incident occurred when the man was travelling across a bridge in the Wajegaon Bandhara area near the city.
According to police officials, the incident took place between around 9:30 am and 10:00 am, when the vehicle suddenly caught fire while he was on the bridge. Eyewitnesses said that during the blaze, sounds similar to explosions were heard not only from the vehicle but also from the victim's body, creating panic among people present at the spot.
