Lucknow, Feb. 23 -- BJP Lok Sabha member from Ranaghat in West Bengal Jagannath Sarkar has targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, saying her Trinamool Congress government has been a failure in the state, and that the people now need a government that promotes development.
He also accused Mamata Banerjee of helping Rohingya and Bangladeshi citizens to obtain Indian citizenship and turning West Bengal into Bangladesh.
He also criticized the West Bengal government for not taking strict action against infiltrators from Bangladesh.
Talking to media here on Sunday, the BJP MP said correcting the SIR voter list is a normal process of the Election Commission, but Mamata Banerjee opposed it because "she wants to keep infiltrators as voters".
