Kolkata, Dec. 4 -- Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a sharp attack on the BJP over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the amended Waqf Properties Act, accusing the party of spreading misinformation, stirring communal tensions, and attempting to weaponise administrative processes ahead of elections.
Addressing a public meeting in Berhampore on Thursday, Mamata reiterated that the BJP was "indulging in religious politics" over SIR and creating panic among communities.
