Kolkata, March 22 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday evening left for the UK to address in University of Oxford as well as hold some business meetings with the industrialists and invite them for investment in the state.

Talking to the reporters at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Dum Dum here, she said her schedule has been disturbed due to delay for about 12 hours for having no direct flight to London.

"We had a flight for Saturday morning but the same has been cancelled and we had to defer the journey for about 12 hours, " Banerjee said.
