Kolkata, Jan. 26 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended her heartfelt greetings to the nation on the occasion of Republic Day on Monday and urged citizens to uphold democratic values, unity and social harmony.

In a post on her X handle, Banerjee said she attended the Republic Day celebrations on Red Road in Kolkata and described the parade as an "extraordinary experience," as she witnesses every year.

She thanked the organisers for successfully conducting the event and expressed gratitude to the spectators for encouraging the participants.
