Kolkata, Dec. 17 -- A day after it was revealed that over 44,000 names of voters were deleted from Bhawanipur, Chief Minister's assembly constituency, during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, Mamata Banerjee directed party workers to carry out a door-to-door verification of deleted voters and announced a meeting of booth-level agents (BLAs) on December 22 to take stock of the situation.
The Chief Minister expressed strong displeasure after large-scale discrepancies surfaced in the draft electoral rolls of her constituency.
