Kolkata, April 7 -- : A day when the Election Commission published the full list of voters whose names were under adjudication, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday mounted a sharp attack on the Election Commission of India over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the state, alleging that even members of religious and charitable institutions had not been spared.

Addressing three campaign meetings across Nadia and North 24 Parganas, Banerjee accused the poll body of carrying out a targeted exercise.
