Shimla, Feb. 17 -- A major fire broke out at the residence of former Gram Panchayat Pradhan Susheel Chauhan in Kyari village of Kotkhai subdivision in the district, causing extensive damage to the property and leaving several people injured.
According to initial reports reaching here, the fire erupted at Chauhan's house during the early hours. The exact cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained.
Residents rushed to the spot on noticing flames engulfing the structure and made efforts to douse the fire before the arrival of the fire brigade.
During the firefighting operation, some persons reportedly sustained burn injuries. The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital for treatment. Their condition is stated to be stable, though offici...
