Kolhapur, Jan. 16 -- The Mahayuti alliance on Friday secured a clear majority in the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation, winning 41 of the total 81 seats, as results of the civic body elections declared so far showed.
The Mahayuti constituents: the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP), collectively crossed the majority mark. Of these, the BJP won 23 seats, Shiv Sena (Shinde) secured 14 seats, and the NCP-SP won four seats.
