Kolhapur, Jan. 16 -- The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance secured a clear majority in the elections to the newly formed Ichalkaranji Municipal Corporation in Kolhapur district, winning 47 of the 65 seats, while the Shiv-Shahu Aghadi, supported by the Congress, won 17 seats.
The Mahayuti alliance, emerged as the largest group in the municipalities. The BJP won 43 seats, followed by the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) with three seats and the NCP-Ajit Pawar faction with one seat.
