Hyderabad, March 23 -- Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre, a 47-year-old multi-speciality trust hospital, inaugurated its upgraded Cardiology Department at Masab Tank on Sunday. Developed at a cost of Rs 5 crore in collaboration with KIMS Hospital, the facility aims to provide advanced cardiac care at half the cost of corporate hospitals. The upgraded facility was formally inaugurated by Dr B Bhaskar Rao, CMD of KIMS Group, and Patil Kantilal Subhas, Dy Commissioner of Police, South East Zone. Dr Rao emphasised the need for continuity in trust hospital leadership and suggested a Rs 1 crore corpus fund, pledging an equal contribution from KIMS.
