Jalna, March 13 -- The Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) claims to have arrested a police inspector and a police staff member from the Mantha police station in the district while allegedly accepting a bribe to avoid action against a sand transport vehicle.

The ACB said its team from the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar unit laid a trap to arrest the suspects on Thursday night.

According to officials, the accused have been identified as police inspector Manoj Kumar Rathod and constable Ravi Ganpat Jadhav. The complainant, who operates a sand transportation business, approached the ACB after the two officials allegedly demanded money in return for not seizing his sand-carrying vehicle.
