Mumbai, Jan. 28 -- Maharashtra government will organize an international standard Marathi film festival this year to strengthen the Marathi film industry, state Culture Minister Ashish Shelar announced on Tuesday.
Announcing this at a press conference here, Shelar said this year the first Marathi film festival will be held in Mumbai and it will be a three-day festival.
The Marathi films which do not reach the audience will be shown at this festival. Each film will be accompanied by the film's team who will interact directly with the audience.
The Marathi Film Festival will be organized in an international standard format with special seminars and interviews with experts in the field, said Shelar.
