Nagpur, Dec. 13 -- Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar today told the Legislative Council that the state government was "not happy" with union Minister Jitendra Singh's recent remark opposing any change in the name of IIT Bombay to IIT Mumbai.

Shelar, who holds the Cultural Affairs portfolio, said the state government has not only expressed its displeasure but has also formally communicated its stand to the Centre through a letter.

He was responding to a question raised by Shiv Sena (UBT) member Anil Parab regarding the government's position on Singh's statement.
