Chandrapur, April 28 -- In a tragic incident, three persons drowned in the Wardha river near Dhanora village in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, police said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when they entered the river to wash clothes, apparently without assessing the depth and strong currents.
After the incident came to light, police and local rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched a search operation.
