Kolhapur, Feb. 26 -- A woman jail officer and a prisoner were injured in an alleged scuffle between two rival groups of prisoners inside District Central Jail at Kalamba here on Wednesday.
According to sources in the Juna Rajwada police of the city, some prisoners were conversing with their relatives at a meeting hall, when a prisoner named Amar Satish Mane came out of the room, at that time, another prisoner Karan Puri allegedly suddenly attacked Mane and started kicking and punching him over an old feud.
When other two prisoners tried to stop Puri, his two accomplices allegedly attacked them too.
