Mumbai, Jan. 25 -- The political controversy over remarks about "painting Maharashtra and the country green" intensified today in Mumbai, with AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan strongly defending the statement and asserting that the party has a constitutional right to expand its presence across India.
Responding to comments made earlier by Maharashtra AIMIM president Imtiaz Jaleel, Pathan said there was nothing objectionable in aspiring for the party's flag to be raised nationwide.
