Nagpur, Feb. 2 -- Senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar today alleged that there may be a conspiracy behind the death of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, claiming that nearly 80 per cent of people in the state believe that "something fishy" is involved.

Wadettiwar said the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) should demand a thorough investigation into the incident. Raising several questions surrounding the plane crash, he also criticised the political developments that followed Pawar's death.
