Solapur, April 13 -- A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Karkal village in Solapur district, where a brother and sister (both minors) lost their lives after drowning in a farm pond.
According to reports, the siblings had gone to the farm pond for swimming recently. During the activity, the safety rope tied around their waists reportedly came loose, leading to the tragic accident.
As soon as the incident came to light, both children were rushed to the rural hospital in Mandrup for treatment. However, doctors declared them dead before any medical intervention could begin.
The deceased have been identified as Shravan Santoshkumar Ankalgi (15) and his younger sister Shravani (10).
