Kalyan, Aug. 20 -- The public has now decided to support those who work and sideline those who remain idle, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said here today.

Commenting on recent Assembly elections, he remarked, "When some people win, they say the voting machine is good. When they lose, they blame the machine. This will no longer work. The people have given their mandate to the Mahayuti, and they will continue to stand with us in future elections."

In Kalyan-Dombivli, several former corporators, office bearers, and sarpanchs from the Shiv Sena (UBT) joined the Shinde group, raising slogans of "Jai Maharashtra."
