Nagpur, March 2 -- : Police have arrested nine directors of an explosives manufacturing company in Maharashtra's Nagpur district after a powerful blast at its facility claimed 19 lives, officials said today.

The Kalmeshwar Police have registered a case against 21 directors and shareholders of SBL Energy Limited under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

So far, nine directors have been taken into custody, police officials confirmed.

Following the incident, Nagpur Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule convened a high-level meeting at the Divisional Commissioner's office to review the situation.
