Jalgaon, Oct. 28 -- A theft has been reported at the residence of senior NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) leader Eknath Khadse in Jalgaon. Thieves allegedly broke open the main door lock and stole gold ornaments and Rs 35,000 in cash from a cupboard, police sources confirmed.
The burglary reportedly occurred last night while the Khadse family was out of town for Diwali. Reports indicate that the absence of the security guard, who had taken leave, provided an opportunity for the burglars to strike.
Khadse informed that the thieves ransacked cupboards and took away four gold rings and jewellery belonging to Raksha Khadse, along with the cash.
