Mumbai, Feb. 11 -- The Cyber Cell of city police on Tuesday registered an FIR (first information report) against podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina and other artistes for allegedly making obscene content and broadcasting it on Raina's India's Got Latent show, which sparked a huge controversy.
A senior officer has confirmed this and said that police have invoked Section 67 (transmission of obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act, among other sections.
In the morning, police had issued summons to him and others but reportedly none of them had responded to it.
