Mumbai, June 7 -- Maharashtra reported 114 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total count since January to 1,276, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Meanwhile, one more patient succumbed to the coronavirus, bringing the toll in the state to 18, the state Health department announced on Friday.
Among the new cases, Pune recorded the highest number with 44 infections (42 within city limits and two in rural areas), followed by Mumbai with 37, and seven each in Mira-Bhayandar and Panvel Municipal Corporation areas.
Other affected regions include Navi Mumbai (4), Pimpri-Chinchwad (6), Kalyan (3), and one case each in Thane, Satara, Kolhapur, Sangli, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Parbhani.
