Kolhapur, March 31 -- Maharashtra Higher Education minister Chandrakant Patil today tried to allay fears about shortage of fuel and cooking gas cylinders assuring that "there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or domestic gas" and advised people of the state not to panic.
While talking with reporters this evening, he said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis are also saying that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or domestic gas anywhere. People do not need to panic. The queues are not as long as they were in the beginning."There is an attempt to spread fear about scarcity of petrol, diesel or cooking gas from some quarters such as traders, the opposition and even people's insecurity, he explained.
