Mumbai, April 3 -- The Customs officers at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai have arrested a Kenyan woman national and seized suspected cocaine / methaqualone weighing 1.78 Kg having illicit market value of around Rs 18 crore, officials said here on Thursday.
The passenger was arrested under the Provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.
According to details, the woman had intended to take the drugs to Delhi, for which the suspect had consented to pay her one lakh Kenyan shillings (approximately Rs 66,000). However, prior to that, she was apprehended.
